the BDSM paradox

Today I want to make some thoughts about the - I call it - BDSM paradox. I remember chats with slaves who wrote in the first line something like "you can do EVERYTHING you want with me, Sir". Let´s be honest: Every person has a certain (healthy) limit. Does it mean a Master can do EVERYTHING he wants? No, especially when you train a slave and guide him into submission. I like the analogy of building a house. If you want to build a nice and good house you have first to start with fundament. You have to check if it is solid enough to build your house on it. Of course the material have to has its quality. The same applies for slaves. You have to build up slowly from the bottom and check the progress and proceed with the slave training in the pace you can be sure the stability is given.

The deeper the slave submits the more responsibility a Master has and therefore has to act accordingly. In my analogie: When your progress on the house is advanced you have to take care of your finished parts and look after it. This means also sometimes to renounce or adapt in order not to endanger the developments of the slave. If you find a weak spot on your house you will work on it to strenghten it without risking to damaging the spot or other parts of it. Yes you could take the risk.

If you have a certain progress on the house you will not endanger it. So you see. There is a certain paradox: The deeper the slave goes into submission does not mean the Master can do everything he wants. Yes you can do more in a more advanced house but you also have to maintain and take care of your work.

I like your analogy to building a house. Just as every house is different so every slave will be different and the Master can build in certain features to the training that are specific to the Master's requirements. There may also be a need to compromise - the Master may need to adapt his requirements to the abilities of the slave and the slave may need to accept aspects of his training that he finds more difficult or onerous.
